Illegal Immigrants
- Anyone is entitled to live in this great country. However, if they come here illegally, and expect the same rights as Americans and those who have been on waiting lists for years, they are not entitled to a thing. Get out.

Yes they can
- I am a son of immigants, born and raised in USA. We have to remember that we all are immigrants, legal or illegal. That is what America it is all about. These people came here for a better life. LEGALIZE them.
- —Guest mike
No
- I do not believe in rewarding criminals. Illegal immigrants are the reason the immigration process hard. I had to come here the legal way. Why should they get an exception? People use the "they have kids" excuse; well, throw the children back with them. After all, their children wouldn't be here if they didn't break the law. They take billions in tax money, They take jobs of Americans citizens and legal immigrants. People who say they want to live a better life. Well, so does everyone else in the world.

Illegal Immigrants Should Have a Path
- I see these comments and they made me laugh. Mexicans are not the only illegal people in this countr: we have Asians, Middle Easterners, even white folks from Europe who are illegal in this country, Thats why our country is called the UNITED STATES. Matter in fact, if it wasn't because of these people, this country wouldn't be what it is, because nobody wants to work the jobs that they have for $6 an hour, I really think that the economy will increase if these people were legal.

Mexican exports
- They export poverty. Illegal immigration is a "pop off" valve to maintain the status quo among Mexican upper classes, which are mainly European. Don't see them much at day labor sites.

Help for the economy
- Yes, they should legalize millions of immigrants because it will help the country and the economy. the fee charged of immigrants to become U.S. citizens will be a source of income for the country.

No way, Jose
- No, they should have to go through the process just as my Chinese wife did. It took 3 years. They should follow the law and the process and the American people should press their Congressmen VERY hard to do their constitutional duty and secure our border. They should not concede to pressure from La Raza that just want to obtain a dominant political position. We are all paying for the infrastructure to support these illegals. The benefactors are the businessmen hiring them in construction, hospitality, landscaping and other labor and service sector jobs. These employers should be sued for past and present costs they have imposed upon our country through their illegal hiring practices. They should pay for the health care, education and other services rendered to these people. And the Unions should investigated for their role in this huge mess.

Illegal IS Still Illegal
- Allowing illegals immigrants to be part/parcel of being US citizens is an awful dangerous message to be sending to the rest of the world. Deport them. They can enter LEGALLY or not at all. What a kick in the memories of our ancestors who entered legally. It is their hard work and determination that is slowly being corroded. Kind of makes Ellis Island a farce if this is allowed to happen...
- —Guest AF
Hell yes
- Yes, they should because this country is the land of opportunity and they should be able to have citizenship like all the other immigrants. We need to stop being selfish and open our minds and borders, and help people in need like we do for Africa. As we fix the economy, we have to face it the are a big help because the work harder and theyget paid less. Think about it and stop being so closed-minded. And the next time you look at history, take a look at who owned this country first before we invaded it.
- —Guest mando
Why not?
- There are 15 million undocumented aliens in the country working on 15 million jobs that we don't want to do. Do you honestly think that sending them all home will help the economy? If they work twice as hard as we do, then it only means that they contribute twice to the country's economic growth. If our economy grows, who will benefit from it? Because of all those aliens fighting for us, we are able to defend our country. Because of all those aliens working for us, our economy is still way better than other countries. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, a path to citizenship
- Yes, they should because they work so hard to make their money. Also, it is heart-breaking that families are separated because of illegal status. I cannot imagine being separated from my husband whom I love dearly or from our future children, Therefore, they should have a pathway to citizenship as long as they don't have a criminal background.
- —Guest Yestheyshould
Yes, absolutely...
- Those who are already here 'illegally' should be offered a pathway to citizenship and polish your border control / immigration laws so that there wouldn't be any illegals coming in after this. This would minimize the resources US spends on illegal immigrants and will generate revenue since these people will now pay their taxes properly. The cost of application/procedure when they apply for US Citizenship/GC would also generate revenues for the government. US doesn't have to shoulder the tuition fees and educational expenses of these 'illegal' immigrants' children under 18 yrs of age anymore. If there are no 'illegals', employers wouldn't have to hire an illegal worker whom they can pay much lesser and exploit to work twice as their American counterpart. The basis of hiring would then be skills, experience and other things but lesser pay for more work. Competitiveness will again be in the workplace as natural born Americans will have to exert more effort in their jobs then

It's an unfair game!
- I sympathize with illegal immigrants and believe they deserve a chance to become a citizen here in US. However, as a H1b visa holder, I feel it's so unfair for people like us. I have been in this country for over 12 years legally. Completed my BS+ MS degree and landed a nice job. For people who have to go through the painful, non-transparent, long green card process, it's under-stated in Obama's reforms. It's like if you're illegal, you get the free pass; if you have been legal at all times, paying tax and Social Security, you have to wait in a 10 years queue to get that pass. How is this fair?? One of my colleagues told me (he is white) that he's been following the rule and graduate from college with 100k debt, while his sister who has been irresponsible for all her life (drinking, stealing etc) got free money from government and finish her bachelor degree. He feels like a fool for being a good boy. That is exactly how I feel now.

Am I Missing Something?
- People...the law is the law. It is illegal to immigrate to the U.S. without first being given permission to do so. Don't like it? Then change the law. There a lot of things I'd like to do but I don't, because they are ILLEGAL! In the meantime, for those who feel it's wrong to "tear apart families"...no one is forcing the family to stay when the illegal gets deported. Why don't they all go back home with the illegal while they wait for immigration approval? Oh, that's right! Because they are escaping where they came from to begin with! Hey, Stackbuilt: your wife is illegal? Then you move back with her to her country while she waits for a green card. What do you think happens to illegal immigrants in other countries? They get arrested, and they get deported, if they avoid prison. But you think the U.S. should be different. You all should be ashamed.

No amnesty or path to citizenships
- Look what is happening to America because of massive illegal immigration, They tend to jump themselves to the front line to many things, leaving Americans second in line in their own country, Any kind of path to citizenship is amnesty and will allow Mexico to just take over America. Let's face it: in reality, they are sneakily conquering America, And they are accomplishing this with all of their strategies and excuses, and all of their advocates are helping them to succeed in conquering America, Sure, they seem to be kind people, but they are also sneaky, bold, rude, and nastily aggressive, and are allowed to just spit and walk all over Americans, Amnesty will allow Mexico to be in America, and a living hell for Americans! Americans will be forced to live in this new-found Mexico in America! Our own politicians are willing to allow them to change our Constitution, our laws, rules, and regulations for their own purpose, This is so unfair!
