Thirty-nine Democrats and all but one Republican member of the House of Representatives voted NO in the historic November 7, 2009 vote on the Affordable Health Care for America Act, H.R. 3962.

The landmark legislation, which is the culmination of a drive that started with President Theordore Roosevelt almost 100 years ago, passed by a margin of 220 to 215. Health care reform has been supported by every Democratic president since President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and by a majority of American people.
