"Winning Modern Wars: Iraq, Terrorism, and the American Empire" - Published in October 2003, the first half is an interesting narrative and analysis of the U.S. military campaign that overthrew Saddam Hussein's government during the spring of 2003.
The book's remainder is devoted to analyzing the plan, which Clark argued (in 2003) took unnecessary risks by skimping on the forces committed. the General also wrote that the Bush Administration was so focused on winning the military war that it made inadequate preparations for occupation and reconstruction.
An intriguing, insightful book both into the Iraq War, and into the military understanding and experience of Wesley Clark.

"Waging Modern War: Bosnia, Kosovo, and the Future of Combat" - This well-regarded book published in May 2001 has been described as history, memoir and guidebook. General Clark recounts leading NATO's forces to a hard-fought and ultimately successful victory in Kosovo in 1999.
Controversial and complex and replete with innovation, this book is widely considered to be essential reading for those who want to know how modern war is fought, and won.
