Deborah White is a freelance journalist specializing in liberal politics, and progressive issues and perspectives.
Deborah was elected in 2007 and reelected in 2009 to two-year terms as a Delegate to the California Democratic Party ("CDP")and to the California Democratic state conventions. She's active in the Progressive, Labor, and Women's Caucuses of the CDP.
In her 2009 reelection bid, Deborah's candidacy was endorsed by Progressive Democrats of America, the Progressive Caucus of the CDP, and Southern California Grassroots.
Deborah has also served as a federal Elections Official in California, and assisted the Nevada Democratic Party in its 2008 presidential caucus.
Experience:
Deborah has been politically active since her undergraduate years at UCLA. She's been a community activist for more than two decades, and has held leadership positions on community non-profit boards and in churches.
Before committing to journalism fulltime, Deborah enjoyed a business career as a CPA/MBA for twenty years, including almost a decade with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Education:
Deborah studied journalism and non-fiction writing as an undergraduate, graduating Cum Laude from University of California, Los Angeles. She earned an M.B.A. from California State University, Long Beach, and has instructed courses at three universities.
