HOORAY! Rosie O'Donnell To Bring Her Liberal Views Back to Daytime TV
Funny, generous, aggressively outspoken, exceedingly honest... love her or hate her, Rosie has been continually provocative since she came out-of-the-closet in 2002.
She's a strong advocate of same-sex marriage and gay parenting families, but that's hardly the limit of her political stances. She detests guns and the destructive violence caused by guns, and she's dubbed George Bush a "war criminal" for the Iraq War.
After a couple years of low-profile domesticity with life partner Kelli Carpenter-O'Donnell and their children, Rosie O'Donnell will again be airing her views daily beginning in September on ABC's popular daytime gabfest "The View." Look for six-time Emmy award winner Rosie to be the high-profile liberal foil to conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
And look for Rosie to be joyfully controversial, as always. To which I say: Hooray for Rosie!

Rosie should keep here political views to herself on the the TV show the “View”. She has already made a fool of herself by comparing extermist Christians to Islamic extremist. Give me a break Rosie.
What bothers me most about Rosie O’Donnell is that she wants to babysit the nation’s children. And twenty-year-olds. And forty-year-olds. And sixty-year-olds. And ninety-year-olds. And every age in between. Rosie O’Donnell isn’t liberal. A true liberal wouldn’t try to stick her nose in the bedrooms of America and put on airs of moral superiority while bullying those with whom she disagrees. A true liberal is open-minded, not doctrinaire; a true liberal wouldn’t have treated any of her guests the way Ms. O’Donnell treated Tom Selleck simply because he belongs to the National Rifle Association. A true liberal wouldn’t have insulted her Asian fans first with a bigoted caricature of Chinese speech and then with an apology dripping with condescension and lack of remorse. And a true liberal wouldn’t falsely “out” someone based on little more than her own prejudice. Ellen DeGeneres is liberal. Rosie O’Donnell isn’t liberal; she’s the late Andrea Dworkin, resurrected but this time with a double-digit I.Q.
