------ Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on March 31, 2006, when answering questions of teenage students at Blackburn Rovers' soccer stadium in Great Britian.
Per Reuters, Rice was answering "a question over whether lessons had been learned since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003."

Rice claimed she was being “figurative, not literal, okay?”
How can you be “figurative” when talking about tactical errors? Tactical errors are pretty specific things. I think she was just being honest for a brief moment.
I see no difference between a “figurative” or “Literal” error in war. I totally agree with you…it was a rare moment of honesty by a Bush senior administration official.
