Hillary Has 94% More Campaign Funds Than Nearest 2006 Opponent
Westchester County district attorney Jeanine Pirro, the only declared GOP challenger to Senator Clinton, reported that her campaign had raised $438,555 since she entered the race Aug. 7 and had $363,921 in the bank at the end of September.
That's $802,000. Pirro's campaign chest holds 5.7% of Hillary's coffers.
And yesterday, Republican Gov. George Pataki endorsed Jeanine Pirro for the 2006 Senate race, prompting the only other known potential Clinton opponent, Manhattan lawyer Edward Cox, son-in-law of the late President Richare Nixon, to quit the race.
Here's my question....do you really think that Hillary needs $14 million for her 2006 US Senate race? Or could she have another race in mind after that?
Be sure to read my colorful Profile of US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York...the woman about whom former First Lady Barbara Bush snidely predicted in March 2005 would "be the Democratic candidate for president in 2008," but "will lose the election."
