Tuesday Jog Around the Blog Neighborhood: Fonda, Edwards & Armstrong

This is my personal short-list of blogs and other media that I read almost daily. It's a collection of voices I find insightful, inspiring, witty, irreverent, incredibly bright, persistent and determined and oh-so-passionate. It's a work-in-progress, and always will be, so check often for new places to go, new voices to hear, new sites to see.

Now let's take a Tuesday jog around the blogosphere block to see what the neighbors are saying.....

From Senator John Edward's One America blog, "Cate Edwards podcasts from Washington, D.C. to discuss issues and outreach relating to younger voters. She is visited by College Dems from across the country as they join together during the College Dems National Convention. "

Senator John, wife Elizabeth and daughter Cate Edwards frequently post genuinely interesting podcasts to their site. (Edwards has a charming wife and daughter. No Stepford women there.)

Needs some hearty laughs today? Try About.com's own Daniel Kurtzman and his Political Humor site. Here's one from his David Letterman treasure trove of late-night gems, ""I guess we're all excited that President Bush announced his nomination to the Supreme Court — John Roberts. Bush searched far and wide before he made the risky choice of a white guy in his fifties."

And from Pastor Rick, self-described progressive rabble-rouser, family man and church-planter, at his stupendous Cheaper Than Therapy blog , "I have a confession...I am not particularly fond of Lance Armstrong.

There, I said it.

Call me a blasphemer and a heretic. Say whatever you like. I cannot help my feelings regarding the "world's greatest athlete" and cancer survivor. Yes, I acknowledge he is the greatest living athlete and is unlike any other human being I have seen (as a competitor and strategist).

But, that does not necessarily make him a great person and nice guy."
