The Democratic National Committee has announced its official slate of DNC-sponsored primary election debates between the 2008 candidates in the presidential race. Dates, locations and media sponsors are:
July 23, 2007 - YouTube/Google and CNN in Charleston, South CarolinaAugust 19, 2007 - ABC in Des Moines, Iowa
September 26, 2007 - NBC News/MSNBC in Hanover, New Hampshire
October 30, 2007 - NBC News/MSNBC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
November 15, 2007 - CNN in Las Vegas, Nevada
December 10, 2007 - CBS in Los Angeles, California
Debate locations were selected to showcase the candidates in key primary election battlegrounds. The last debate date was chosen in anticipation that a handful of primaries could still be moved up from January 2008 to late December 2007.
I hope to live blog from the site of the December 10 debate in Los Angeles, which will be hosted by the California Democratic Party. I promise you full coverage of all six of the debates here at About.com's Guide to Liberal Politics.
