Rating the 2008 Presidential Candidates at the DNC Winter Meeting

This past weekend, ten 2008 Democratic presidential hopefuls... 9 declared or "exploring," 1 undeclared... made their pitches to the party faithful, in short speeches that ranged from exuberant and smoldering in self-confidence, to brooding, barn-burning fury and surprisingly eloquent.

I've watched their speeches over and over (!?), and for you, I've written Rating the 2008 Democratic Candidates at the DNC Winter 2007 Meeting.

My article is candid, brutally honest and thoroughly subjective. There are no sacred cows in this contest.

To my great surprise after evaluating (and praying about) the candidates' DNC presentations and resumes, if I was forced to vote today for the Democratic nominee for the 2008 presidential race, my choice would be... Gov. Bill Richardson.
