Top Ten Classic Films with a Social Message

One of my favorite gifts to give at Christmas is film DVDs... especially film classics with an uplifting, stand-up-and-cheer message.

After much agonizing, I've compiled my Holiday 2006 list of the Top Ten Classic Films with a Social Message. My list includes landmark films released from 1940 to 2006.

This is not a list of top ten political films, and, in fact, includes no movies set in Washington D.C. or similar surroundings. Nor is this a list of religious-oriented films.

Hope you find this list helpful in your Christmas shopping, both for your loved ones and for your own film library.
