Mel Gibson Equates Iraq War to Human Sacrifice

Monday September 25, 2006
"What's human sacrifice if not sending guys off to Iraq for no reason?"

--- Mel Gibson, actor and producer/director of "The Passion of the Christ," widely acclaimed as a classic by the religious right, on September 24, 2006 in Austin, Texas, while promoting his new film, "Apocalypto," which is about the decline of the Mayan empire.

I'm not usually in the practice of quoting Mel Gibson, but I wholeheartedly agree with this fresh perspective on the evil destructiveness of the pointless Iraq War.
