Two Exciting New Sites: FaithFul Democrats & DNC's PartyBuilder Social Network

Thursday September 7, 2006
Dozens of new partisan websites newly appeared online this week, just in time for the November 2006 Congressional elections, and afterwards, will be poised and prepared for the two-years leading to the 2008 Presidential election.

I'm particularly excited about two sites and services.

The first is FaithfulDemocrats.com, "an online community of Christian Democrats – religious leaders, political leaders, writers, and regular Americans who are committed to the Gospel and the common good. We discuss, we debate, we take action. And we will make our voices heard in the 2006 election season and beyond."

Besides featured contributors, FaithfulDemocrats.com offers individual blogs for all users and an Action Center. My only concern about this new site is its apparent lack of give-and-take debate, which is vital to draw traffic. I enjoy RedBlueChristian.com largely due to the colorful interactions with some very "red" Christians.

The second is PartyBuilder, a new social-networking system at the Democratic Party's website.

PartyBuilder is flexible, sophisticated and uber-easy to use. Besides connecting with Democratic friends and finding new ones, you can use it to find, organize and RSVP local events, start petitions, raise funds, support campaigns and candidates, write letters, and, of course, blog. It's very cool!

In short, it's the start of a vibrant Democratic community... the very nightmare of red-state Republicans everywhere. (And what could be more fun?)

Become an integral and vital part of the Democratic community. Visit and join both of these sites.
