Iraq War Statistics: Shocking Iraqi "Brain Drain"
And another new Iraq War statistic that reflects the devastation borne by that country: since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, fully 40% of Iraqi professionals (doctors, attorneys, accountants, professors, teachers, others) have permanently left their home country. Of course, such a devastating "brain drain" inevitably makes Iraq's recovery more difficult and remote.
