Support the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

A few minutes ago, I received a phone call from Michael Lindsay, a youthful volunteer for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He's spending his summer weekend time, trying to raise money to support Democratic Congressional candidates.

The DCCC's site states their purpose better than I do....."The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting. "

It's vital to the future and stability of our great country that we unseat Tom DeLay and his buddies in the 2006 elections. Congressional Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi has done an exceptional job in marshalling votes and confronting the Bush Administration on its failing policies and wrong choices, but she needs more than the present 201 of 435 House seats. We need a majority in 2006!

I told Michael that I would contribute to the DCCC, and I thanked him for his sacrifice of weekend time to support the Democratic Party and a better way for the American people.
