Tip O' My Hat to Writer & Blogger Avedon Carol

A tip o' my hat to say thanks to Avedon Carol for including me in her list of top female liberal bloggers. Those are words of high praise coming from a journalist/writer of her quality and talent.

In her new gig as co-blogger on Eschaton, a leading liberal blog, her tongue-in-cheek subject over the weekend was "Where are all the male bloggers?" Seems that a few sites in the blogosphere have recently been lamenting the dearth of female blogger and political writers. (Are they blind?)

She wrote, "Yes, it's a sad thing, in a world populated by the likes of Alice Marshall, Julie Saltman, Barbara O'Brien, Anne Zook, Susie Madrak, MadKane, Jeralyn Merritt, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, Jeanne D'Arc, Gail Davis, Elayne Riggs, Deborah White, Roxanne Cooper, Trish Wilson, Riverbend, and anyone else I forgot to mention (and of course Echidne and myself), the boys get lost in the shuffle."

Avedon Carol's main blog, The Sideshow, , is daily must-read for me. It's full of attitude, intelligence and more than a few laughs. And she's right on target in her progressive take on matters.
